There are studies and estimates that show over 75% of the thoughts a person has each day are NEGATIVE. When you consider the scientific and medical information available to show the damage negative thinking has on a person’s health, its no wonder so many experts are urgently insisting that people take drastic steps to change their thinking, and in so doing– change their lives.
Metaphysicians now know that negative thinking is the cause of most health and mental problems. One study shows that older folks living in a nursing home who received motivational and inspirational, hypnotic thoughts for long life and health had an average of 6 more years extended life than other residents at the very same nursing home. In another study, Dr. Carl Simonton and psychologist Stephanie Simonton found that when cancer patients pictured healthy, white blood cells destroying the cancer, they lived twice as long as other cancer patients.
All signs point to the benefits of positive thinking and positive verbal encouragement. Among them are the improvement and maintenance of quality of life, an increase in speed in the healing process and positive effects on blood pressure, hormonal, nervous, immune and reproductive systems and the heart. All of these effects have been studied and shown with brain scans as well as electrode and blood tests.
These studies, along with information gathered from the author, U.S. Andersen and the work of Dr.Masaru Emoto, not to mention personal, life experience, have led Sunshine Doench (a.k.a. Sunny Doench) to create the encouragement and wellness website of The Daily Hug - www.The DailyHug.com. It is a website that invites people to sign up for daily, motivational and inspirational text messages. “When people are consistently reminded of their value, creativity and limitlessness, their lives reflect their infinite potential. You can see a lightness in their energy and they posess an easy laughter and joyful manner. These are the people that we are all drawn to. These are the people we are meant to be.”
Practicing positive thinking and offering verbal encouragement every day are wonderful ways to extend your quality and length of life. We each deserve to be happy and it all begins in our minds. How we think is how we are. Think on love, abundance, joy and health. And so it is.
